Barbara Ann Stone Wilson, age 69, of Whiteville, died on July 30, 2025 at Columbus Regional Healthcare System. 

Ann was born on June 28, 1956 to Barbara Jean Strickland Nobles. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Julius C. Nobles; and daughter, Pamela Denise Wilson.

Ann was employed for over 14 years as a rural mail carrier for the US Postal Service and also served an a Substitute Teacher for the Columbus County School System for many years.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at Worthington Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Gore Cemetery- 1955 Ramsey Ford Road in Nakina. 

Family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00-2:45 p.m. in the chapel.

Surviving family includes her husband, Mitchell Kent Wilson, of the home; daughter, Carrie Wilson Bullard (William Corey Bullard) of Whiteville; mother, Barbara Jean Strickland Nobles of Whiteville; grandchildren, Kaleigh Marie Bullard, Lainey Rae Bullard, and Caden Grey Bullard; brother, Michael Stone (Cina) of Raeford.
