Mr. Asberry Paul Price, age 83 of Evergreen died Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at his residence. Final rites will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Worthington Funeral Home with Reverend Bill Pier, Sr. and Reverend Kevin Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the Price Family Cemetery, Evergreen. He was the son of the late Willie James and Mary Catherine McDuffie Price and was preceded in death by eight siblings, Carlie Price, Henry Mack Price, Milton Price, Grover Price, Vidalia P. Britt, Dora P. Faulk, Vera P. Lamb, and Kathleen P. Cagle. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the US Navy. He is survived by his wife, Annie Ruth Mangum Price of the home; daughters, Paulette P. Tanner of Tarheel and Ann P. Williams of Evergreen; sons, Danny Joe Price of Evergreen and Glenn Price of Evergreen; a sister, Winnie Mae Pittman of Lumberton; 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Friday at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn. No service information has been added.
