Anthony “Tony” Griffin, 72, of Evergreen, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025, in the Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Whiteville.

Tony was born on September 6, 1952, son of the late Floyd Cecil Griffin and Elrose Warwick Griffin. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Jan Griffin.

Celebration of Tony’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at Worthington Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Coffey officiating.

Visitation will be from 1:00-1:45 p.m. prior to the service on Sunday.

Tony honorably served his country in the United States Army, serving as a Military Policeman.

Surviving family includes his loving wife, Brenda Jackson Griffin of the home; a son, Joshua Anthony Griffin and wife, Jenny, of Kentucky; grandchildren, Abigail Rae Griffin and Madelyn Rose Griffin; sister, Dee Lowery.
