Anthony Dale “Fred” Batten, age 43 of Cerro Gordo, died on Saturday, March 12, 2022.

Fred, as he was lovingly known, was born on June 30, 1978. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carrie Sasser Batten and his daughter, Kimberly Marie Sellers.

No services will be held at this time.

Survivors include his father, Emory Dale Batten of Chadbourn; wife, Jeanna Godbee Batten of Collinsville, VA; children, Anthony “Tink” Dale Batten of Tabor City, Sophie Brionna Batten of Collinsville, VA, Trinity Chanelle Batten of Collinsville, VA; sister, Jill Elizabeth Affeldt (Santiago) of Chadbourn; step-children, Floyd Lane Inman, IV, Cadence Grace White; nieces & nephews, E.J. Resendiz, Marcos Resendiz, Mika Cruz, Lydia Cruz, and Christian Guzman.
