Mrs. Annie Merle Cain Fisher, age 92 of Whiteville died Sunday, December 20, 2009 at Liberty Commons in Whiteville. Final rites will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Worthington Funeral Home with Reverend George Berry and Reverend Willie Allen officiating. Interment will follow in Union Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. She was the daughter of the late Dillon and Katie Lennon Cain and the widow of Luther Junior Fisher. She was also preceded in death by a son, Bobby Wayne Fisher. She is survived by a son, Ronald A. Fisher and wife, Libby of Whiteville; a daughter-in-law, Martha Fisher Lowe of Lake Waccamaw; a brother, Wade Cain of Bladenboro; six grandchildren, Kim Boswell, Craig Fisher, Gay Jessup, Lisa Stanley, Jan Lennon and Bryon Fisher; and eleven grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff of Liberty Commons, Liberty Hospice and Dr. John D. Hodgson for their loving care shown to their mother. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn. No service information has been added.
