Ruby Lee Nealey Watts, age 81 of Whiteville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 4, 2018, at her residence, with her family by her side.
Born on April 20, 1937 in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late James Luther 'Tobe' Hughes and Rosa Nealey Larrimore. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Ricky Banks Watts and her siblings, Dorothy McPherson, Josephine Nobles, Hazel Lovett, and Paul Hughes.
Ruby was a dedicated Christian, loving wife, mother, granny and great-granny; She loved life and taking care of her precious family.
To cherish her memories, she leaves her beloved husband of 64 years, Raymond Banks Watts, of the home; daughter, Candy Watts Ward and husband, Keith of Whiteville; two siblings, Kenneth Larmore and wife, Earlene of Bartlesville, OK, Ina Larmore Shane, also of Bartlesville, OK; daughter-in-law, Helen Britt Watts of Delco; six grandchildren, Brent Watts and wife, Jennifer, Leslie Watts Strickland and husband, Jeremy, Kayla Ward Nobles and husband, David, Emily Ward Dozier and husband, Josh, Colton Watts, and Riley Watts; four great-grandchildren, Owen Strickland, Briggs Watts, Maddie Strickland, and Banks Watts.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Western Prong Baptist Church, with Pastor Ronnie Wilson officiating. Entombment will follow in the Whiteville Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00, Tuesday evening at Worthington Funeral Home, Chadbourn.
