Rex Norton Obituary

Rex Allen Norton age 54 of Chadbourn, made his heavenly arrival on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville, with family at his side. A native of Columbus County, Mr. Rex was born on March 6, 1965. Rex was preceded in death by his mother, Ms. Louise Locklear Norton. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Worthington Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Kenny Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in the Hammonds-Locklear Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday Evening at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn. Survivors include his father, Roy Douglas Norton of Chadbourn; his wife, Elizabeth Strickland Norton of the home; children, Jessica Bartley Davis (Mike) of Fayetteville, Robert Bartley of Marietta, GA, Chicoa Norton of Chadbourn, Christian Norton of Chadbourn; step-children, Rochelle Melvin of Leland, Gregory Dean Melvin of Lake Waccamaw; siblings, Shannon Devon Spaulding (Sheila) of Chadbourn, Linda Locklear Thomas of Chadbourn; two grandchildren, Emery Johnson and Logan Bartley.
