Mr. Ralph Nobles, age 77 of Chadbourn, met his Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 12, 2019, at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice House in Whiteville. Born in Columbus County on the twenty-third day of July in 1941, he was the son of the late Pearlie Nobles and Alean Duncan Nobles. Along with his Father, Ralph was preceded in death by his brother, Leo Nobles. Final rites will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 14, 2019 at the Chadbourn Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Donald Conway and Chaplin Sam McLeary officiating. Interment will follow in the Fipps Family Cemetery in Chadbourn. The family will receive friends one-hour prior (1:00 pm 2:00 p.m.) to the service at the church. Not long after giving his heart to the Lord, Ralph joined Chadbourn Pentecostal Holiness Church and became a faithful member. After joining Chadbourn Pentecostal Holiness Church, Ralph began serving in several capacities including Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, Prayer Warrior, and a helper in any place he was needed. Ralph was best known as a painter and a wallpaper hanger. When Chadbourn Pentecostal Holiness Church started the construction on their new Sanctuary located on Chadbourn Highway, Ralph was always present on the job site and when the construction was complete, Ralph honorably painted every inch in the building. Among Ralphs many titles, he was also a bee-keeper and graciously provide his family and friends with delicious honey. To cherish his beloved memory, he leaves behind his devoted wife, Jeanette Nobles, of the home; three siblings, Billy Nobles, Rev. James Howard Nobles, both of Chadbourn, and Linda Dinnes of Manning, SC. Memorials may be made to the Ralph Nobles Burial Fund. c/o Worthington Funeral Home.
