Paul Sanders

Paul Sanders age 79, of Chadbourn passed Friday, June 15, 2018 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Porter Swamp Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Moore officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until time of the service at the church. He was the son of the late Mary Elizabeth Barnes Sanders and Arle Carson Sanders. He was preceded in death by a son, Billy Ray Sanders; eight siblings, Robert Sanders, Norman Sanders, Willie Sanders, Lester Sanders, Billy Carson Sanders, Odena Ruth Sanders, Patsy Mae Hooker and Pauline Sanders. To cherish his memories he leaves his wife, Fannie Mae Marlowe Sanders of the home; six children, Danny Sanders of Whiteville, James "Randy" Sanders (Linda) of Fair Bluff, Sherry Penny of Chadbourn, Jeffery Stevens of Salisbury, Joyce James of Lexington and Lisa Sanders of Lexington; two sisters, Edith Diane Carter of Sophia and Sarah Jane Parrish of Sea Grove; eleven grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn is serving the family.
