Mitchell Allen Smith, age 34 of Whiteville died on Monday, September 9, 2019. Mr. Smith was born March 13, 1985 in Columbus County to Mr. Curtis Allen Smith (Jane) and Marla Kay Long (Ray). Mitchell was preceded in death by one child, Abbigail Smith. He was also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Betty and Wayne Edkin and John Junior Harris, paternal grandfather, Charles (Ethell) Smith and paternal grandmother, Dora Mae Bell. A graveside service will beheld at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery with Reverend Mark Fisher officiating. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday at Worthington Funeral Home. Survivors include his parents; children, Jordan Allen Smith of Clarendon, Chandler Smith of Clarendon, Hazel Leigh Smith of Whiteville; siblings, Kelly Patricia Harmon of Whiteville, Nancy Sue Moss of Whiteville; paternal great-grandfather, Woodrow Mitchell Bell (Sue) of Whiteville.
