Mendal Gray Lennon age 93, of Evergreen went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at the Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton. He was the son of the late Wellington Jackson and Mary L. Lennon and was also preceded in death by three siblings, Denver B. Lennon, Merle Lennon and Leon Boyce Lennon, Sr. He honorable served his country in the US Army during WWII. He was employed in the parts department at Clark-Shaw Ford in Elizabethtown for over 30 years and later enjoyed meeting with his friends at Bojangles in Lumberton. Final rites will be held 11:000 a.m. Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Lennons Crossroads Baptist Church of which he was a member with Dr. Fred Senter officiating. Interment will follow in the Singletary Cemetery, Bladenboro. He leaves to cherish his memory, a sister, Reba Elizabeth Lennon Duke of Wilmington; a niece, Lamonica Lennon Yates and her husband, Brad of Conway, SC; three nephews, Leon Boyce Lennon, Jr. and his wife, Michelle of Bladenboro, Kenneth Duke of Atlanta, GA and Danny Lennon and his wife, Pam of Baltimore, MD; and several great nieces and great nephews.
