Maybell Blackwell Obituary

Maybell Blackwell, age 93 of Cerro Gordo passed on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Whiteville. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the Gowan Cemetery, Cerro Gordo with Reverend Paul Page officiating. The family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. Friday at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn. She was the daughter of the late Hattie Marlowe Blackwell and R. Turner Blackwell. She was also preceded in death by four siblings, Homzy Blackwell, Floyd Blackwell, Jessie B. Walker and Herman Blackwell, Sr. She is survived by eleven nieces and nephews, Christine Floyd, Judy Boswell, Annie Lou Walker, Martha B. Goins, Glenda B. Funderburk, Lois B. Sanchez, Alma Godwin, Gurley Graves, Ronald Walker, Donald Walker, Herman Blackwell, Jr. and Debbie A. Blackwell.
