Margie Sellers Obituary

Margie Catherine Grainger Sellers, age 83 of Whiteville, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Whiteville, NC, with family by her side. Margie was born on September 8, 1935 in Columbus County to the late Otto Grainger and Carrie Gertrude Hutto Grainger. She was the widow of Edgar Lee Sellers who preceded her in death in 1989. Final rites will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at New Hope Baptist Church with Reverend Darrin Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Columbus Memorial Park in Whiteville. The family will receive friends 6:00 8:00 pm Monday at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn. To cherish her memory, Ms. Sellers leaves behind her son, Marty Lee Sellers and his wife, Lynn of Whiteville; siblings, Pat G. Clark of Whiteville, Tony Grainger and his wife, JoAnne of Little River, SC, Lewis "Sonny" Grainger and his wife, Brenda of Whiteville; three grandchildren, Andrew Sellers, Nicholas Bell and Nathan Vanier. Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn is serving the family.
