Margaret Jean Walters Massengill, age 87 of Chadbourn, peacefully went to be with her Lord on Monday, November 19, 2018 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 7, 1931 in Columbus County to the late Dallie Glasco Walters and Zelma Sibbett Walters. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Powell and a brother, Kenneth Newton Walters. Until her retirement, Margaret worked as a bookkeeper for Collier Gas and G & C Motors. She loved the Lord and when health allowed, she attended Union Valley Baptist Church To cherish her precious memory, she leaves a daughter, Ellen Massengill (Greg Walker) of Chadbourn; Grandchildren, Natalie N. Nealy (Toby) of Chadbourn, Mandy J. McDuffie (William) of Chadbourn, Candace W. Ford (Trenton) of Cerro Gordo, Morgan Walker of Cerro Gordo; six great-grandchildren, Karmen McDuffie, Zach Nealy, Bradley Nealey, Jayce Ford, Tucker Ford, and Lukas Ford.
