Lucille Brock Green

Lucille Brock Green, age 84 of Whiteville passed on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Lifecare Center in Whiteville. Final rites will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Worthington Funeral Home with Reverend Sam McLeary officiating. Interment will follow in Columbus Memorial Park in Whiteville. The family will receive friends 1:30 pm 3:00 pm Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home. She was the widow of George John Green and the daughter of the late Mary Buffkin Brock and Willie Manson Brock. She was also preceded in death by four siblings, Lloyd Brock, Edward Alford Brock, Elwood Brock and Lizzie B. Carter. She is survived by a daughter, Doris Green Richardson McKeithan of Whiteville; a son, George David Green of Myrtle Beach, SC; four siblings, Ester Suggs of Loris, SC, Willard Brock of Hope Mills, Geneva B. Dickerson of Chadbourn and Bonnie B. Hinson of Cerro Gordo; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
