Lonzie Lee Obituary

Lonzie Vernon Lee age 79 of Whiteville passed on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Lifecare Center Angel House in Whiteville. Final rites will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday (November 15, 2018) at Worthington Funeral Home with Reverend Merle Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn. He was the son of the late Thelma Dew Lee and Major Green Lee, Sr. He was also preceded in death by a son, Bobby Vernon Lee; and nine siblings, William Edward Lee, Major G. Lee, Jr., Cortis Lee, William Howard Lee, Fred Lee, Margaret L. Hinson, Mattie L. McCormick, James Irvin Lee (infant) and Thelma L. Doretha Lee (infant). He is survived by three children, Marvin Darren Lee of Whiteville, Tommy Anthony Lee of Whiteville and Tammy Lorraine Lee of Clarendon; a brother, Harry Lee of Whiteville; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
