Lois Catherine Dell Green Harris, age 82 of the St. James community in Lake Waccamaw, peacefully went to be her Lord and savior on Friday, November 23, 2018 at Premiere Living and Rehabilitation in Lake Waccamaw. Born on July 26, 1936 in Columbus County, she was a daughter to the late Joe Green and Julia Agnes Blanks Green. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Herbert Edonis Harris; a son, Herbert Lorenzo Harris; siblings, Henderson Green, Jatha Green, Julia Graham, Emma Webb, Edward Green, Thurman Green, Annette Green, Gladys Hawthorne, Veter Merle Campbell, Marcella Jacobs, and her step-mother, Esther Mitchell Green. To cherish her precious memory, she leaves a daughter, Ramona Harris of Lake Waccamaw; son, Mark Edward Harris of the home; siblings, Otelia Blanks-Graham (John) of Lake Waccamaw, Esther Carleen Freeman of Bolton, Hilda G. Jacobs of Lake Waccamaw, Coolidge Green (Judy) of Lake Waccamaw; 5 grandchildren, Teandra, Arkemus, Jeremy, Jared, Jhaliel; great-grandchildren, Shakeema, Shakira, Arkemus, Jr., Shameerah, Milique, Malcolm, Amiyah, Jared; 8 great-grandchildren; and her sisters-in-law, Inez Spaulding, and Marjorie Green. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at the St. James Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Gregory Spaulding and Pastor Napoleon Webb officiating. Internment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Thursday, at the church. Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn is serving the family.
