Kenneth Dwayne Waddell

Kenneth "Kenny" Dwayne Waddell age 49 of Whiteville and formerly of Leland passed on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville. Final rites will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Oak Dale Baptist Church with Reverend Dean Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. A wake will be held Tuesday 6:00 -8:00 p.m. at Love Faithfully Ministries located at 171 Old Fayetteville Road, Leland. The family will also receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at Oak Dale Baptist Church on Wednesday. He is survived by his wife, Holli Floyd Waddell of the home; a son, Joel Kenneth Waddell of the home; two daughters, Kyesha Waddell of Wilmington and Taniya Waddell of Rocky Point; a step-son, Landon Tart of the home; his mother, Shirley Waddell of Wilmington; his father, Rufus Harrell of Leland; four siblings, Cleavon Harrell of Kelly, Edwin Waddell of Raleigh, Jermane Waddell of Wilmington and Cynthia Pickett of Rocky Point; a grandson, Joziah Kendrick; Grand Aunts and Uncles, Lola Waddell of Wilmington, Helen Waddell of Leland, Fred Douglas Waddell (Vanneal) of Leland and David Waddell of Leland; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins and friends. Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn is serving the family.
