Kathy Lynn Ammons Dew

Kathy Lynn Ammons Dew, age 57 of Chadbourn, went to with her Lord on Wednesday Morning, June 26, 2019 at her home, while surrounded by loved ones. A native of Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late Edward Melvin Ammons and Elouise Floyd Ammons. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Danny Ammons, Mickey Ammons, Dale Ammons. She was a graduate of West Columbus High School, Class of 1980 and a graduate of the Medical Lab Tech Program at Southeastern Community College in 1999. Kathy was employed at Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville, Southeastern Healthcare System in Lumberton and more recently, Cape Fear Valley/ Bladen Hospital in Elizabethtown. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Porter Swamp Baptist Church, with Pastor Tim Moore officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00, Friday Evening at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn. Survivors include her husband, Ray Dew of the home; siblings, Kay Ammons Lawhorn of Denver, NC, Eddie Ammons of Bladenboro, Donald Ammons of Evergreen, and several; beloved nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Gibson Cancer Center in Lumberton, NC.
