Kathleen Shaw Obituary

Kathleen Bass Packer Shaw, age 83 passed on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Lifecare Angel House in Whiteville. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Smyrna Baptist Church with Reverend Donald Conway officiating. She was the daughter of the late Edith Gore Bass and Richard Dick Bass and the widow of Robert Shaw. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Nora Lee Bass, Eva Bass and Eula Mae Bass. She is survived by a son, Jimmy Earl Packer of Tabor City; two daughters, Kathy Packer and Karen Adams both of Chadbourn; a sister, Dorothy Bass Green of Chadbourn; three grandchildren, Lynn Packer, Numan Packer and Pamela Singletary; five great-grandchildren; Reid Packer, Nydir Singletary, Adaya Singletary, Zaybre Singletary and Nashion Singletary.
