Joel Everette Bullock, Sr.

Joel Everette Bullock, age 83 of Chadbourn went to be with his Lord on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehab. In Whiteville. Final rites will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Worthington Funeral Home with Reverend Dave Crumpler officiating. Interment will follow in Columbus Memorial Park Whiteville. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm 8:00 p.m. Monday at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn. Mr. Bullock honorably served his country in the United States Navy. He was owner and operator of Bullocks Farm Drainage Company for over 45 years until his retirement in 2007. He was the husband of the late Linda Faye Ward Bullock and the son of the late Bedie Katherine Ford Bullock and Joel Alford Bullock. He was also preceded in death by four siblings, Howard Bullock, Ceclia Bullock Childers McGariety, Merle Joyce Bullock Butler and infant brother, Broadus Bullock; and a great-grandchild, Matti Parnell. He is survived by a daughter, Rosemary Bullock Benton (Brian) of Chadbourn; two sons, Everette Bullock, Jr. (Renee) of Chadbourn and Alford Bullock (Donna) of Hallsboro; two siblings, Myra Bullock Keel of Raleigh and Marvel Bullock DeVane of Greenville; six grandchildren, Deidre Hall, Hannah Bullock, Rachael Bullock, Christopher Bullock, Sammi Bullock and Kendall Bullock; two great-grandchildren, Salena Grace Bullock and Tristian Renee Parnell.
