Jerry Carter Obituary

Mr. Jerry William Carter, age 74 of Chadbourn, went to be with his Lord on Monday, September 2, 2019 at Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville. Jerry was born on April 29, 1945 in Columbus County to the late Joseph William Carter and Lucille Page Carter. Funeral Services are planned for Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. in Worthington Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jonathan Simmons Officiating. Interment will follow in the Birdcage Memorial Gardens, located on Birdcage Road in Chadbourn. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Survivors include his wife, Judy Barnes Carter of the home; children, Jay Gottuso (Debbie) of Goldsboro, Amy Mills (Paul) of Wilmington, Regina Hayes Alexander of Greensboro, William Hazley Carter (Chloe) of Wilmington; siblings, Betty Jo Ward of Chadbourn and Kenneth Carter. Jerry also leaves behind five Grandchildren, Allen Gottuso, Amanda Gottuso, Kloe Stackhouse, Willow Stackhouse, and Emery Alexander.
