Jennis Smith Obituary

Jennis ONeil Smith age 78 of the Crusoe Community of Whiteville passed on Sunday at Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. at the Etheridge Cemetery in Crusoe with Reverend Ervin Etheridge officiating. He was the son of the late Effie Smith and Foy Smith. He is survived by his wife of over 58 years, Shirley Long Smith of the home; a daughter, Connie S. Hyatt (LaVerne) Abbottsburg; five siblings, Faye S. Etheridge of Whiteville, Mae Smith of Ash, James Freeman of Ash, Carl Ray Smith of Whiteville and Roddie Lane; a grandson, Aaron ONeil Hyatt.
