Janice Evette Spaulding Freeman, age 61 of Bolton went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 05, 2018 at Premier Living in Lake Waccamaw. Final rites will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at St. James Missionary Baptist Church with Reverends Curt Locklear, Graylen Mitchell, Henry Glenn Floyd and Charlie McDowell officiating. Interment will follow in St. James Memorial Cemetery, Lake Waccamaw. The family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. Monday at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn. She retired from Dupont/Dak America in Leland after 35 years of employment and later was employed by the Columbus County School System as a bus driver. She was the daughter of the late Eliza Mitchell Spaulding and Wesley Evans Spaulding. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Wilbert Spaulding. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, James Russell Freeman of the home; five children, Scottie Antiwan Freeman (Marsha) of Bolton, Courtney Dawn Freeman (Obadiah) of Bolton, Tarvis Freeman (Chenita) of Charlotte, James Russell Freeman, Jr. (Jessica) of Clarksville, TN, and Laura Pigford of Charlotte; ten siblings, Gloria S. Mitchell (Henry) of Lake Waccamaw, Irene S. Moore (Melton) of Lake Waccamaw, Herman L. Spaulding (Rose-preceded) of Lake Waccamaw, Larry D. Spaulding (Sandra) of Lake Waccamaw, Wanda Sasser (Allen) of Ash; Claudy D. Spaulding (Pam) of Lake Waccamaw, Sharlen Young (John) of Council, Marty Spaulding (Melissa) of lake Waccamaw, Deborah Spaulding of Lake Waccamaw and Jamie Spaulding (Amanda) of Lake Waccamaw; and 11 grandchildren.
