James Benson Obituary

Mr. James Ervin "Jim Bob" Benson, age 70 of Chadbourn, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at his residence, with family at his side. A native of Lincoln, Nebraska, Mr. Benson was born on March 4, 1949. Mr. Benson nobly served his country in the US Navy, having served until his retirement. "Jim Bob" leaves behind his mother, Bessie Allen of Chadbourn; step-son, Angus "Devon" Sellers; step-daughters, Matilda "Tilly" Faye Graves, Evelyn "Nora" Sellers; three siblings; nine Grandchildren and Nine Great-Grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M.on Saturday, April 27, 2019 in the Worthington Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Tommy Bryson officiating. Interment will follow in the Graves family cemetery in Cerro Gordo. Visitation will be conducted from 6:00-8:00, Friday evening at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn.
