Irene Ward Obituary

Irene Williamson Ward, age 76 of Chadbourn went to be with her Lord on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at her residence. Final rites will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Chadbourn Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Donald Conway officiating. Interment will follow in Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Worthington Funeral Home. She was the daughter of the late Orgie Nance Williamson and Wright Williamson. She was also preceded in death by five siblings, Bernice W. Little, J.D. Williamson, Livian Williamson, Jimmy Williamson and Donald Williamson. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, J. Daniel "Pete" Ward of the home; children, Danny Ward (Lisa) of Whiteville, David Delane Ward (Pamela) of Cerro Gordo, Dickie W. Ward of Chadbourn and Deidre W. Norris (Jamie) of Chadbourn; siblings, Cecil Williamson of Fair Bluff, Wayne Williamson of Fair Bluff, Betty W. Treat of Indian Trail and Gayle W. Pierce of Hallsboro; four grandchildren, Anthony Ward, Devin Ward, Jaelyn Norris and Aida Ward; and two great-grandchildren, Weston Luke Ward and William Adams.
