Hybert Linwood Williamson

Hybert Linwood Williamson, of Cerro Gordo passed on Sunday, September 29, 2019 at Columbus Regional Healthcare System. He was the son of the late Zebulon Vance Williamson and Mary Susan Nance Williamson. He was also preceded in death by six siblings, Dr. Ray Williamson, Elbert Eugene Williamson, Alfred V. Williamson, Z.V. "Jeke" Williamson, Jr., Ben F. Williamson and Margaret W. Bartrop. He honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Worthington Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Neil Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Thursday. He is survived by his wife, Mary Evelyn Brown Williamson of the home; a daughter, Joan W. Floyd and her husband, Alan of Cerro Gordo; a son, Michael Linwood Williamson and his wife, Ronda of Rocky Point; sisters, Edith W. Strickland of Myrtle Beach, SC, Uldene W. Green of Cerro Gordo and Frances W. Williamson of Cerro Gordo; grandchildren, Justin L. Williamson (Mary Lou), Brandon G. Hayes (Emily), Jennifer L. Hardin (Clint), Ashley L. Kincer, Maegen L. Hayes; great-grandchildren, Elijah Williamson, Madalyn Williamson, Ansley Hayes, Davin Hayes, Ethan Hayes, Kinsey Hardin, and Nathan Kincer
