Hilda Faye Smith Lowrance, age 74 of Whiteville passed on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at the Flynn Cemetery with Reverend Timmy Locklear officiating. Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn is serving the family. She was the daughter of Adell Spivey Smith and Alfred Smith. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jason Lynn Lowrance; siblings, Harrell Smith and Grace Ward. She is survived by her husband, John Dewey Lowrance of Whiteville; three children, Lynn Penny Seward (Jon) of Colorado Springs, CO, Fonda Bost of Longs, SC and Les Bost (Debbie) of Whiteville; four siblings, Nancy S. Duncan, Deborah S. Hinson and Betty B. Thompkins all of Whiteville, J.L. Smith of Chadbourn; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
