Faye Coleman Sealey, age 73 of Evergreen, took her place among the angels on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Angel House in Whiteville. A native of Columbus County, Faye was born on January 27, 1946 to the late Earl Coleman and Lee Ellen P. Bowen Coleman. She was the widow of Captain Carey Wayne Sealey. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Cheryl Faye Cox Barnhill and seven siblings, Earlene Coleman Ward, Quincey Coleman, James Monroe Coleman, Kathleen Bowen Williams, Alfred Bowen, Bertha Mae B. Shipman, and Thurman Bowen. Faye was a lover of life and people, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed early mornings sitting on her deck listening to the birds sing and watching for her favorite bird - the cardinal. She was a loving and caring person and always freely gave of her time and money to help those in need. To cherish her memory, Faye leaves behind her children, Ray Cox (Lynn) Cox of Lumberton, Laura Lee Ann Hebb of Ottawa, Canada, Karen Lorane Sealey of Cerro Gordo, Gina Lynn Sealey (Marcelo) of Marion, SC, Timothy Wayne Sealey (Cindy) of Lumberton; special second mother, Annie Rose Bowen of Evergreen; 18 grandchildren, a great-grandchild and 2 step-great-grandchildren. Final rites will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday at Worthington Funeral Home with Reverend Tony Ward officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm 8:00 pm Friday at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn.
