Esta Mae Nobles Pait

Esta Mae Nobles Pait age 82, of Bladenboro went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Angel House in Whiteville. Final rites will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday, June 29, 2018 at Worthington Funeral Home with Reverend Tommy Simmons officiating. Interment will follow in the Lewis Cemetery Bladenboro. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until time of the service at Worthington Funeral Home. She was a retired educator of 34 years employed primarily at West Columbus High School and later at Bladenboro High School until her retirement in 1992. She was devoted educator and touched the lives of many students during her career. She also served as sponsor of the National Honors Beta Club Society in Bladenboro. She served as secretary at North Side Baptist Church in Bladenboro for many years. She was the daughter of the late Grettie Cornellia Nobles and James Norman Nobles and was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Edwin Hayward Rimes; and a brother, Weldon Rossie Nobles. To cherish her memories, she leaves her husband of 59 years, Cecil Miller Pait of the home; two daughters, Donna P. Rimes of Dublin and Lisa P. Nance and her husband, Benton of Chadbourn; her brother, Bill Norman Nobles and his wife, Sondra of Fayetteville; a sister-in-law, Sandra Nance Nobles of Chadbourn; three grandchildren, Joshua Rimes, Andrew Rimes and Cathryn Rimes.
