Ernest Wells, Jr. age 76 of Bolton passed on Monday, October 16, 2017 at Columbus Regional HealthCare System in Whiteville. A graveside service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, October 20, 2017at Western Prong Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Mike Jacobs officiating. The family will receive friends 6:00- 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 20, 2017 at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn. He was the son of the late Kate Lee Hyatt Wells and Ernest Quincey Wells. He was also preceded in death by two siblings, James Wells, Otis Wells and Vernon Wells. He is survived by a daughter, Anita W. Patrick of Bolton; a son, Shey Wells of Bolton; siblings, Marie Ahrens of Dover, AR, Leamon Wells of Branford, FL, Rubuart Wells of Branford, FL, Herschel Wells of Clarkton, Ethel Ward of Clearwater, FL and Frances McGaha of Holiday, FL; three grandchildren.
