Edward Duval Noble, Jr. age 89 of Evergreen passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Lifecare Center in Whiteville. Born in Columbus County, on February 8, 1929, he was the son of the late Edward Duval Nobles, Sr. and Rosa Watts Nobles. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Marilyn N. Nelson; siblings, Hazel B. Nobles, Katie Louise Tompkins, Gertie Nobles Ward, Earl Nobles and Bruce Monroe Nobles; step-children, Donald Worriax and Linda Worriax and a grandson, Brian James Locklear. Mr. Noble honorably served his country in the United States Army. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 4, 2019 at Worthington Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour to the service at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn. Interment will follow the Funeral Services at 2:00 P.M. at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1311 Shipyard Blvd., Wilmington, NC 28412. Survivors include his beloved wife, Louise Chavis Noble of the home; a daughter, Lois Noble Brock of Wilmington; step-children, Deborah Pevia of Shannon, Rita Locklear of Rennert and Victor Worriax of Evergreen; sister, Bobbie Christine Skipper of Leland; grandchildren, Nicole, Tonya and Jonathan; great-grandson, Ben; and eight step-grandchildren.
