Edna Barnhill Carter

Edna Barnhill Carter, age 87 of Oak Street in Chadbourn, entered into the arms of the Lord, Jesus Christ late Thursday Evening, August 15, 2019 at West Bladen Assisted Living. Edna was born on December 31, 1931 to the late Noah Mack Duffie Barnhill and Rose Ella Alford Barnhill. Ms. Carter was the widow of the late Haynes Lennon Carter, who preceded her in 2016. Also, preceding Edna in death were a daughter, Gloria Lynn Carter and her siblings, Mitchell Barnhill, Vonnie Barnhill, Arthur Wells Barnhill, Lester Barnhill, Clyde Barnhill, Lloyd Barnhill, Horace Barnhill, Inez Hewitt, Pauline Boswell, Irene Thompson, Hazel Pope, Thelma Barefoot and Elsie Townsend. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at Chadbourn Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Donald Conway and Pastor Jimmy Forehand officiating. Interment will follow in the Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00, Saturday Evening at Chadbourn Pentecostal Holiness Church in Chadbourn. Ms. Edna was a dedicated and faithful member of Chadbourn Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she diligently served in several areas. She loved the Lord with all her heart and served him faithfully until the very end. Survivors included her beloved daughters, Audrie C. Osteen (Gary) of Oakwood, Ga., Wanda C Cribb (Roger) of Clarkton and Donna C. Cartrette (Myles) of Chadbourn; eight grandchildren, Jeremy Osteen, Jared Osteen, Kevin Carter, Justin Williamson, Andy Osteen, Jeni Hardin, Kimberly Henry and Briana Gee; seventeen great-grandchildren, Anna, Kylee, Caleb, Elijah, Jada, Kayleigh, Aden, Madalyn, Abby, Isaac, Keegan, Kinsey, Austin, Carter, Kassidy, Brayden, Elijah and Nathan
