David Michael Watts

David Michael Watts age 72 of Lake Waccamaw passed on Thursday, February 20, 2018 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington. Final rites will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, February 23, 2018 at Worthington Funeral Home with Reverend Leroy A. Martin officiating. The family will receive friends 3:00 4:00 pm (one hour prior to the service) Friday. He honorably served his country in the Vietnam War serving in the United States Army. He was the son of the late Jessie Rayna Booth Watts and Golda Quincey Watts. He was also preceded in death by seven siblings, Kathy Norris, Clio Watts, Grover Watts, Sam Watts, Christine Norris, Earline Norris and Helen Jefferies. He is survived by his loving wife, Jane W. Smith of the home; a daughter, Judy Watts Jordan and her husband, Brian of Willow Springs; five step-children; siblings, Syba Gibson of Callihan, FL, Betty Jo Norris of Whiteville and Jerry Watts of Lexington; a granddaughter, Jenna Jordan ONeal and her husband, David of Falcon; many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. He will be remembered as a loving husband, daddy, papa and a special uncle to many nieces and nephews.
