Cecil Miller Pait, age 84 of Bladenboro went to be with his Lord on Monday, August 27, 2018 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice House in Wilmington. Final rites will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, August 31, 2018 at Worthington Funeral Home with Pastor Tommy Simmons officiating. Interment will follow in the Lewis Cemetery in Bladenboro. The family will receive friends from 2:30 pm on Friday until time of the service at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn. Mr. Pait honorably served his county in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was employed by Fox Holsom Bakery for over 25 years until his retirement and was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Bladenboro for many years. As an avid fisherman, Mr. Pait spent most of his leisure time with a pole in hand whether it be fresh water or salt water as long as it was fishing. He was the son of the late Rebecca Cook Pait and Martin Berlin Pait. His beloved wife of 59 years, Esta Nobles Pait preceded him in death on June 27, 2018. She was also preceded in death by three siblings, Mary Pait West, Marion CArleen Eason and James Max Pait. Survivors include two daughters, Donna Pait Rimes and her late husband, Edwin Hayward Rimes of Dublin and Lisa Pait Nance (Benton) of Chadbourn; and three grandchildren, Joshua Rimes, Andrew Rimes and Cathryn Rimes; and many loving Nieces and Nephews.
