Carl Shelton Hinson

Carl Shelton Hinson age 84 of Chadbourn went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Barbara Ann Nobles Hinson and the son of the late Grace McKeithan Hinson and Horace Hinson. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Gene Hinson. He was owner and operator of Carl Hinson and Son Construction Company for more than 50 years. Final rites will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Worthington Funeral Home with Reverend Ricky Donaldson and Elder Ricky Strickland officiating. Interment will follow in Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 8:00 p.m. Saturday at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadburn. To cherish his memory he leaves seven children, son Larry Hinson of Evergreen, grandchildren, Ashley and Melissa Hinson (great-grandchildren, Kaila and Riley), Andy Hinson, Alex Hinson and Michelle Hinson; daughter, Debbie and her husband, David Prince of Cerro Gordo, grandchildren, Eric and Kimberly Price (great-grandchildren, Ashton, Michael, Karmen, Nicholas), Steven and Natalie Price (great-grandchildren, Alexis, Cameron, Brisson ad Adriana); son, Bobby and his wife, Tammy Hinson of Chadbourn; grandchildren, Courtney Kalkhof and her husband , Adam; (great-grandchild, Liam Kalkhof); Brittany Hewett and her husband, Justin (great-grandchild, Kyleigh Hewett)and Brooke Hinson; daughter, Vicki H. and her husband, Ricky Strickland of Cerro Gordo (grandson, Evan R. Strickland); daughter, Barbara Catherine (Cathy) H. and Jamie Green of Cerro Gordo; son, Delane and his wife, Donna Hinson of Chadbourn (grandchildren, Kimberly Evans and husband, Chris and Misty Evans and her husband, Mason (great-grandchildren, Madyson Evans Bella Evans ad Ellie Evans; daughter, Lisa H. Waite of Safford, AR (grandsons, Brandon Sasser and wife, Gia, Joshua Crosby and Benjamin Crosby)and a great-grandson, Braydon Sasser. The family would like to thank the following caregivers for the loving care and compassion shown to our father during his illness, Kim Worthin, Diane Hewitt, Sherry Buffkin, Lucy Jones, Marsha Strickland and the Lower Cape Fear Hospice staff, Dawn Priest, Katie Ladd and Alissa Nobles.
