Bobby Shelley White

Bobby Shelley White, age 80 of Chadbourn went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Angel House in Whiteville. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Worthington Funeral Home with Reverend Sam McLeary officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at Worthington Funeral Home. He was the son of the late Eva Blanche Beck White and Stanley White. Mr. White was preceded in death by a son, William Gary White and three siblings, Virgil White, Thurman White and Myrtle White. Mr. White was a graduate of Whiteville High School, class of 1956. He was employed as a distribution manager in the grocery industry in Mississippi. Upon retiring in 1997 he returned back home to reside in Chadbourn and was employed as a security guard at Southeastern Community College. To cherish his memory, he leaves his wife, Mary Alice Koenig White of the home; daughters, Rebecca Ann Berson (Michael) of St. Simons Island, GA, and Lori Ann Williams Blanton (Franklin) of Chadbourn; sons, Robert Jody White (Cindy) of Southaven, MS and Robert Allen Williams of Sarah, MS; siblings, James C. White (Becky) of Monroe, Ga, Kenneth White (Barbara) of Chadbourn and Vonnie Rae Guyton of Council; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Angel House, 206 Warrior Trail, Whiteville, NC 28472.
