Bobby Ray Prevatte, Sr., age 71 of Evergreen passed on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at Worthington Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 2-3:00 p.m. Wednesday (one hour prior) at Worthington Funeral Home. He was the son of Annie May Jernigan Prevatte of Whiteville and the late Howard James Prevatte. In addition to his mother he is survived by a son, Bobby Ray Prevatte, Jr. (Alice Faye) of Evergreen; siblings, Shirley Lee of Chadbourn, Jerri Sue Nance of Evergreen, Polly Elsie Faye Prevatte of Whiteville and James Prevatte of Abbottsburg; 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
