Betty Graves Williamson age 83, of Okeechobee, Florida and formerly of Cerro Gordo passed away peacefully at her residence on December 24, 2018. She was preceded in death by her only son, Jimmie T. Ward, Sr.; her parents, Charlie Angus and Nora Sealey Graves and several brothers and sisters. She was born in Columbus County, on November 18, 1935. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother "Mama", great and great-great-grandmother to her family as well as numerous others who adopted her as their own. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Betty was a dedicated employee in the meat department for Hills and Graingers Supermarkets before turning her interest into the restaurant business, working at Jimmys and Dales Seafood Restaurants then later becoming owner of the Busy Bee Restaurant in Chadbourn. After retirement she spent the last 22 years residing in Lake Okeechobee, Florida. MaMa was an outstanding cook known to many whom she graciously served throughout her life. Survivors include his beloved husband, JK "Bud" Williamson of the home, daughters, Priscilla Klein (Mark) of Okeechobee, Florida, Beverly W. Strickland of Cerro Gordo, Debbie W. Sealy (Scott) of Chadbourn and Lori W. Grainger of Cerro Gordo; daughter-in-law, Linda Smith Ward of Chadbourn; 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren; and her four-legged fur babies, Lucky, Romeo and Juliet.
