Betty Spivey Obituary

Betty Pearl Blackwell Spivey, age 74 of Tabor City passed on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Shoreland Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Whiteville. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the Singletary Cemetery in Bladenboro with Reverends Mark Smith, Charlie Tatum and Steven Orr officiating. She was the daughter of the late Willie Mae Griffin Blackwell and Herbert Blackwell. She was also preceded in death by a son, Herbie Britt and a brother, John Blackwell. She is survived by a daughter, Wendy Britt Elliott and husband, Curtis of Tabor City; three siblings, Edna B. Stubbs of Bladenboro, Michael Lee of Green Sea, SC and Anthony Lee of Loris, SC; two grandchildren, Amber Cortani and C.J. Elliott; and a great-grandson, Aiden Elliott. Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn is serving the family.
