Betty Ann Hayes, age 86 of Wilmington and formerly of Chadbourn, passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at her residence. Born on April 2, 1932 in Selma, NC, Betty was the daughter of the late Daniel Murray Hayes and Nancy Ann McKeithan Hayes. She was the widow of the late Lacy Carl Hayes and was preceded in death by her siblings, Mildred, Glorios, Nancy, and Violet. A private memorial service is being held. Survivors include two daughters, Crystal Hayes Johnson and husband, Grant of Chadbourn, Robin Hayes Terry and husband, Ron of Raleigh; a sister, Dani H. Furr of Wilmington; 3 grandchildren, Taylor Johnson Jordan (Ellis), Anna Johnson McPherson (James), Lacey Terry Toney (Davis); 2 great-grandchildren, Addison Grant Jordan, Hayesly James McPherson. Memorials may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 206 Warrior Trail, Whiteville, NC 28472 Worthington Funeral Home is serving the family.
