Ann Hedgpeth White

Ann Hedgpeth White, age 81 of Riegelwood went to be with her Lord on Monday, March 19, 2018 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Lifecare Center in Whiteville. Final rites will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Riegelwood Baptist Church with Dr. Ed Taylor and Reverend Charles Hester officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Riegelwood Baptist Church. Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn is serving the family. She was the widow of Houston Devon White and the daughter of the late Ella Mae Williamson Hedgpeth and Moody Gaston Hedgepeth. She was also preceded in death by three siblings, Mary H. Davis, Bill Hedgepeth and Betty H. Frink. She was employed at Acme Delco Elementary as a teachers assistant for 33 years until her retirement in 1998. To cherish her memory she leaves a daughter, Ginger White Cumber and her husband, Chris of Riegelwood; a son, Mark D. White of Clinton; five grandchildren, Jason Cumber, Brett Cumber, Chad Cumber, Nick White and Summer White; nine great-grandchildren, Logan, Madix, Nolan, Olsen, Kinsley, Bristol, Raegan, Jase and Carson. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Riegelwood Baptist Church, (Building Fund), 103 NC-87, Riegelwood, NC 28456 or to ADR Fire and Rescue, 100 John Riegel Road, Riegelwood, NC 28456.
