Alpha Mae Ward Brewer

Alpha Mae Ward Brewer age 80 of Whiteville went to be with her Lord on Monday, March 12, 2018 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Lifecare Center in Whiteville. Final rites will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn with Dr. Tommy Bryson officiating. Interment will follow in the Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2:00 3:00 p.m. Thursday one hour prior to the service at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn. She was the daughter of the late Hettie Greene Phelps Ward Boswell and Holland Tine Ward. She was also preceded in death by three siblings, Holland Pernell Ward, Bennie Joe Ward and Lois Ann Simmons. To cherish her memory she leaves her husband of 63 years, Powell Brewer of the home; two daughters, Lavonda Kay Brewer and Pandora Denise Brewer Soles (Billy) both of Whiteville; two sons, Steven Kelly Brewer and Robert Ashley Brewer both of Whiteville; a brother, Derris Neil Ward of Supply; two grandchildren, Kellie Anastasia Brewer Gore and Bristol Shandora Soles Rawls; and three great-grandchildren, Terence Kelly Lee, Bracey Logan Britt and Mason Lloyd Rawls..
